The DWP have announced that: “If a payment date is on a bank holiday or weekend, customers will be paid on the last working day before the bank holiday or weekend.”

For people who are new to claiming Universal Credit, payments are made on the same date every month as the date you received your first payment (subject to weekends and bank holidays). For example, if you received your first Universal Credit payment on October 27th, you’ll receive your Christmas Universal Credit payment on 24th December 2020.
