Role: Teaching Assistant

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up equipment and helping to prepare the classroom for lessons, tidying up afterwards and helping with displays
  • Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behaviour
  • Providing support to children who need additional help with their work
  • Help teachers with record-keeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
