The Role
We are looking for a committed Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare lesson materials, grade papers, manage the classroom, and evaluate and give feedback to students
- Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Communicates with any and all other staff members who engage with students
- Communicates with parents as per school guidelines on a regular basis, including presenting student progress reports and informing parents of requisite student discipline
Person specification:
- A teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent
- A clear motivation to work with young people
- Evidence of further professional development
- Knowledge and experience of how IT can be used to support learning
Desirable skills / expertise:
- Knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to create the best conditions for learning or teaching new things
- Leadership skills
- Flexible and open to change
