Role: Finance Officer

The Role
We are on the hunt for a highly-analytical and qualified financial officer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the financial health of our company by managing our financial procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the financial processes for non-programme spend
- Support the Finance Manager in developing robust financial control and processes for the directorate
- Support project leads to review their budgets and forecasts to ensure they remain relevant and up to date
- Potential to build knowledge of budgets and forecasting, understanding the financial and performance issues and propose ways to improve financial performance
- Potential to get involved with journals, reconciliations and forecasting
- Whilst this is a finance role, there may be opportunities to get involved in ad-hoc projects across the directorate
Person specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
- Be a confident business partner with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
