The Role
We are on the hunt for a passionate dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team.
As the Chef you will be the heart of the kitchen. You will ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently while managing the GPs and consistently providing excellent food that exceeds guests expectations. You’re a great coach and love developing your team to be their best whilst always developing yourself as well.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
- Participate in the interview process and selection of kitchen staff
Person specification:
- Familiarity with analytical food and menu preparation software
- Confident leader
- Positive and resilient
- Well-versed in how to manage a busy kitchen
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety
Desirable skills / expertise:
- Knowledge of food-related curriculum and training techniques
- Understanding of raw materials, quality control and other techniques for the effective creation and distribution of food products
- Excellent customer service skills
