The Role
We have a great opportunity to join the Buying and Merchandising team as Buyer. You will use your buying knowledge to plan and buy the best range for customers within your category. Your remit will be to deliver agreed KPIs including; sales, profit, stock, margin and achieving required customer metrics and hit rates.
As a Buyer, you will be working with the merchandising team to curate the assortments from our brands to sell across all channels, whilst working with marketing to deliver brand campaigns that will delight our customers and change perspective. Working cross functionally you will ensure ranges are delivered on time and in the most profitable way.
Key responsibilities:
- During weekly trade meetings and monthly OTB notes you will analyse product performance and financial reporting to ensure KPIs are continually being met
- Work with the Planning Team to analyse business opportunities and stock opportunities. Monitor flow of initial assortments as well as identifying reorder opportunities by classification and by style
- Stock management; working in partnership with the allocations team to ensure new product deliveries are sent to the right store ranging in the right quantity
- Work with Wholesale Merchandising to drive robust pricing strategies to drive higher sales and deliver margin targets
- Prepare seasonal hindsight’s and build pre-market strategies in keeping with the wider business goals & present back to Senior Management
Person specification:
- Previous experience at Buyer level, or Junior Buyer looking for your next step
- Prior experience managing junior level reports
- Candidates must be dynamic & resilient and happy to do business at fast pace
