Overview

We are looking for full time care assistants, experience preferred.

As a care assistant you are required to show warmth whilst supporting our residents, whilst helping to promote independence and dignity in a positive manner. It will be part of your job to enhance the daily lives of the individuals in your care.

Knowledge and experience of caring for elderly people, coming from a care back ground and having an understanding of older people would be ideal.

We provide a high level of care to our residents, ensuring their well being . We provide personal care, maintaining a high level of hygiene and good infection control practice. We need a person who can complete computer based records accurately, and who has the initiative to report changes in a residents needs to a senior or member of the management team. We need a person who can support our residents in maintaining their independence and someone who understands the importance of person centred care.

Other duties to include are the laundry, creating and serving suppers and snacks, administering medication etc.

We are looking for staff who can work independently, as well as in a team.

Although we provide set shifts, we need staff to be flexible, and who are able to cover holiday and sickness, including weekend and night hours.

Staff must have a  caring personality, be able to communicate effectively in English, in both the verbal and written form.
