A new post at Kennington Memory club. An exciting job opportunity to contribute to care and companionship for people with a diagnosis of dementia. The club operates on Mondays and Thursdays.

The role: (Subject to DBS certification). To work as part of a team to provide a friendly, safe, welcoming and supportive environment for club members and their carers, assisting the organiser and deputy in managing the club and in preparing and organising of activities to this end.

Hours: 9.00am – 4.00pm (negotiable)

Salary: £8.25 per hour. (Based on 2 days per week, 7 hours a day).

About you: You will require enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and empathise.

Relevant qualifications and/or experience essential, preferably in working with dementia. Supervision and further training will be provided.

A registered charity providing day care for people living in Kennington (near Oxford), Abingdon and the local area who have been diagnosed with dementia. The club is held in the Methodist Church, Upper Road, in the village of Kennington.
