Job Opportunity – Senior Health Care Assistant 

We are looking for senior healthcare assistants to join our small team providing domiciliary care to service users in their own homes.
You will be highly motivated, passionate about providing care to enable people to live independently.  As a Senior Carer, you will at minimum have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be working towards this.

A flexible approach is essential for this role, hours range between 7am and 10.30pm on a 7 hour shift pattern.  You will need a full valid UK driving license.

Your role will include: 
Providing guidance, support, and supervision for a team of domiciliary carers
Carrying out visits to service users’ homes to carry out initial assessments and continuous monitoring and updating of care plans
Complete reviews and risk assessments
Train and develop new staff members
Provide on call* and emergency cover for the team
Perform spot checks on carer competency and on quality of care provision in partnership with the registered manager
Liaise with service users’ family members to resolve any concerns
*on call will be every other weekend

About us: 
We are a small, family owned care company, originally established in 2012 with the goal of providing care for individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
We currently have 21 service users and 12 carers, routes are all based in Newport, with minimum travel between calls.  All calls are a minimum of 30 minutes, so we are able to spend time providing quality care to our service users.
