Legal Secretary Job in Bournemouth, Dorset at Gales Solicitors

Bournemouth, Dorset, Part Time £15k - £20k

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our busy conveyancing department consisting of 2 solicitors and 3 other secretary’s. The department covers a wide range of conveyancing matters including residential and commercial sale and purchases, lease extensions and transfer of equity.

Duties to Include:

  • Audio typing of letters, documents, reports and attendance notes
  • Completion of routine documents, making up new files and maintaining existing files
  • Undertaking online searches through the Land Registry portal
  • Completing the Stamp Duty process
  • Filing, copying and general administrative duties
  • Dealing with clients on the phone and in person for routine queries and message taking
  • Liaise with our Tuckton office when required
  • Reception lunch cover when required

Skills:

  • Previous Legal Secretarial experience – essential
  • Good communication and listening skills – essential
  • Good organisational skills – essential
  • Computer literate – essential
  • Audio typing – desirable
  • Previous experience within conveyancing department – desirable
