Job Title: Experienced White Goods / Domestic Appliance Gas Service Engineer
Domestic Heroes Ltd are currently actively seeking an experienced gas service engineer. In this key role you’ll ensure gas domestic appliances are repaired and serviced in line with our high standards and health and safety regulations. As a representative of the company, you’ll be responsible for offering a comprehensive and efficient service to our customers. Bags of initiative and a flexible, proactive approach are essential for this role. You must previously have been registered with Corgi or Gas safe and be fully qualified in working with gas. Experience with other domestic appliances such as refrigeration and laundry products is also required.
You will be working in customers’ homes within the midlands area fault-finding and repairing a wide range of domestic appliances completing approx. 8-9 calls per day dependant on area size. Products will include dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, microwaves, hobs, cooker hoods, fridges and freezers.
·Thorough and up to date gas safety knowledge and qualifications.
·Full responsibility for gas safety and Health & Safety issues, whilst lone working.
·Ability to use technology effectively.
·Good communication and customer service skills.
·Minimum of 3 years’ experience in gas.
·Previous experience working as a Field Service Technician.
·Good diagnostics skills with evidence of fault finding and repair of domestic appliances.
·CCN1 and CKR1 gas qualifications.
·2nd line refrigeration (R600) would also act as an advantage to your application but training can be provided.
·Experience working across a variety of branded products e.g. Bosch, Beko, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Glen Dimplex, Miele, Electrolux etc.
·A Full clean driving licence.
·Ideally have electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 224 Consumer Electrical and Electronic Servicing, City & Guilds 2365 Electrical Installation, 17th Edition etc.) Not essential.

Ensure that all paperwork is up to date and correct
Inspect job sheets closely to identify key parts that maybe needed to complete calls.
Collect parts that are to be fitted for day’s calls.
Ensure that van stock is always up to date.
Ensure that vehicle supplied is clean and presentable to enforce the company’s image and carry out routine maintenance checks.
Plan your route in the most efficient way taking notes of times printed on job sheets.
Be polite and courteous to all customers.
Ensure that work is of a high standard to encourage repeat business.
Clean up any mess caused from the work carried out at the customer’s property.
Aim to complete as many calls as possible on the first visit.
Wear company uniform provided at all times.
