The role of a Customs Entry Clerk:
• Customs Entry Clerk means you will be expected to work with other team members and share tasks
• Convert electronic files to various electronic formats.
• Split, copy or merge electronic documents when necessary.
• Review and identify incoming mail.
• Review, classify and index documents by assigning the appropriate keywords
• Database management
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong PC skills including accurate data entry
• Excellent communication skills, including customer service skills
• Strong organization skills and have the ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritise daily tasks
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a multi system work environment
• Ability to work independently

The candidate
• You must also be a good listener, be able to receive and decipher instructions and be able to ask relevant questions.
• The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems or to devise solutions to problems is required.
• As a team member, it is important that you can work as part of the team and to be sensitive to others’ reactions so as to avoid conflicting situations.
• Must be detailed oriented
• Strong PC skills including accurate data entry usage of office 365 packages including spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organization skills and have the ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks
• Strong customer service skills, over the telephone and via email

This is not an administration role, it is a product that assists customs in processing documentation and is extremely complex. The role is temp to perm after a successful probation period with ongoing prospects. Part of the recruitment process is you will attend an interview and assessment centre day. This is an excellent opportunity to gain work in an area of excellence

The working hours are:
All shifts are 7 to 7 (either 0700 to 1900 or 1900 to 0700)2. Four on four off shift pattern3. Two days, two nights, four off.4. Same pattern throughout the year (including weekends and bank holidays)Pay rate: 10p/h
