We are looking for someone to join our team in Doncaster as a Site Technician – Entry Level. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to earn as they learn.
We have a great in-house team that will ensure you have all the training you need, so no experience of Materials Testing is necessary.
As a Site Technician – Entry Level, you will be happy to follow strict protocols and processes, embrace health and safety, as well as ensure all paperwork is accurate and completed on time for the client. You’ll have a willingness to learn and be client-focused, as you will be on-site and dealing with a wide variety of people at all levels.
Day to day responsibilities
You will be carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities to UKAS standard. Our materials testing services are used by major contractors on high profile civil engineering projects across the UK; including highways, infrastructure, commercial and residential developments.
Each day you will travel to the site you are working on; this could be various locations around the North. You will have a company van to travel from your home to the site, there is no expectation to go to the office each morning unless required for the job you are on.
No day will be the same, early starts and late finishes are to be expected due to location of sites and when the travel is too much to go there and back in the same day, we will put you up in a hotel. On some occasions there may also be night work and weekend work required.
As there is travel involved, you will be required to have a full UK driving license. With the high level of accuracy that is required, we are looking for someone that has great mathematical and literacy skills and exceptional attention to detail.
We require someone that is a great communicator, reliable and trustworthy. The role also needs accurate and consistent record keeping, so communication and maths skills are a must.
We want someone that works great within a team but can also work solo as the job is a great mixture of both.
Working hours, 40 hours per week (longer days to be expected with travel)
Working days, Monday – Friday (weekend/ night work when necessary)
