Age Concern Hampshire has an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Activity Coordinator to work 30 hours per week worked over 4 or 5 days Monday – Friday. This role will be based at ‘The Orchard’ in Basingstoke and home working.

**This role requires excellent organisational skills and vast experience within organising activities or events, ideally for the elderly. It is also essential to have Volunteer Management experience.

If you have the passion and social interaction skills to provide weekly wellbeing activities and social groups for older people in Basingstoke, then this is the job for you.

An understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and data protection is essential for this role, whilst experience with volunteers and collaboration with external agencies is desirable.

This job will provide immense satisfaction to you in improving the wellbeing to older people, especially with Yoga classes restarting, and under Covid-safe guidance, additional exercise classes will be arranged either as part of the activities and groups, or as separate classes. Volunteer buddy support is offered to clients who need additional support to attend the activities, groups and classes.

For clients who are not ready to return, support is offered by phone and newsletter. In addition, we are aiming to restart a weekly Community Café/coffee morning open to the public and supported by volunteers.

The main purpose of this rewarding role is to:

• Oversee the recently restarted wellbeing activities, groups and classes, following Covid-safe guidance
• Expand the project to start similar groups in new locations within the district
• Restart and oversee the Community Café, following Covid-safe guidance
• Support volunteers involved in the activities, groups and classes, and recruit new volunteers where needed
