Tutor with Tutor Trust!
We’re an award-winning Manchester-based professional tutoring service provider run on a non-for-profit basis.
Our mission is to transform lives through tutoring. We offer subsidised, high-quality tutoring to young people who might otherwise not have access to a great tutor, to support them to achieve their potential. We work in partnership with schools across the Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Leeds-Bradford city regions.
What we’re offering
We’re looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with a Qualified Teacher Status to become tutors with us and make a difference to the lives of young people in schools across Greater Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Liverpool Merseyside.
We offer tuition in the following:
Primary: Maths and English
Secondary: Maths, English, and Science
We’ll ask all candidates which subject(s) they would like to tutor prior to interview.
To provide the most impactful tutoring, we only work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, or in small groups (the maximum group size is 3). The tuition sessions will happen at the same time for a fixed number of weeks. We ask that you make sure you are available for the duration of the assignment.
Our tutors work with us on a self-employed basis, and we pay them generously for planning and delivering tuition.
What we’re looking for
A love of your subject and a qualified teacher status.
At least three hours availability a week to deliver tutoring.
Relevant voluntary and extra-curricular commitments e.g. university society, sports team or charity work.
The ability to show humility, respect and empathy.
Planning and organisational skills.
Genuine enthusiasm for becoming a tutor and making a difference in the local community.
