Magenta Financial Planning are looking to hire a Trainee Administrator and Report Writer.

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the Financial Service Industry, but this is an entry level role.

The role will, in time, involve studying for the Financial Planning exams to gain relevant qualifications. Training will be supported and funded by Magenta.

Magenta Financial Planning is based in Bridgend. The ideal candidate will live within a 30 mile radius.

Working hours are 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. The role will be office based apart from a Friday where the role will be home based.

Job Purpose:

To provide assistance to the lead paraplanner and financial planners in all administration and technical areas and client support.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

Be prepared to study for the requisite technical knowledge and qualifications, as a student member of a recognised professional body.
An ability to understand and adhere to the FCA’s compliance procedures including record keeping requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (orally and in writing) with people of all levels, internally and externally.
The ability to prioritise workload.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and Prestwood.
General Responsibilities

Fully understand and be able to efficiently communicate the Magenta purpose to clients and ALL others
Comply with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C and financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the firm at all times.
Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes.
Provide support to our firm’s financial planners in completing non-client facing tasks involved in preparing and administrating any recommendations being made to a client.
Ensure all client files are compliant on an ongoing basis and follow ethical standards.
Over the longer term, to develop relationships with existing / new clients to ensure client queries can be dealt with on a day-to-day basis.
Role Responsibilities

Support and assist the paraplanner with report writing.
Collate all the quantitative detailed information required to support any recommendations to be made in respective reports. This includes chasing in a timely fashion information requested in letters of authority.
Collate, print and save all necessary client documents to accompany any recommendation report, ensuring the file is compliant.
Undertake relevant research to identify suitable solutions to meet a client’s specific objectives.
Prepare relevant documentation and comparisons ready to be reviewed
Complete applications or proposal forms.
Ensure schedules and client records are updated as required.
Create action lists.
Take examinations seriously and develop technical knowledge.
