Deli / Kitchen Assistant

The Mill Café – one of Lurgan’s most exciting and respected food outlets – is on the lookout for experienced food/deli workers to prepare and serve our delicious bagels as well as help prep and serve our Brunch menu.

With a reputation for consistently excellent food, you will be responsible for prepping and serving all menu items.   While we specialise in bagels, we will also offer loaded fries, breakfast options, soups and other dishes so someone that can deal with fast-paced scenarios will enjoy this role.

Hourly rate: negotiable,  depending on experience

Experience of HACCP, daily record keeping, raw food prep, ability to use frying equipment, stock ordering and keeping a clean kitchen will be essential to maintaining the impeccable hygiene standards enforced at The Mill.

The ideal candidate will have:

– Previous experience in a fast-paced café is essential
– Experience using fryers, multi-deck Rational and Merrychef ovens
– Time management skills
– Creativity, passion, attention to detail and drive.
– You’ll need to be a team player and get stuck in with the rest of your colleagues

Work hours are typically between 8am-4pm
