Vecom Sillavan Metal Treatment Ltd, a leading provider of industrial cleaning and metal treatment services, is seeking dedicated and motivated Chemical Technical Cleaning Operatives to join our dynamic team at our Bury facility.

Position: Chemical Technical Cleaning Operative

 Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

 Type: Full-time, shift work as and when required.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently perform chemical cleaning and metal treatment procedures in accordance with industry standards.

Operate cleaning equipment and chemical solutions to remove contaminants from metals and other materials.

Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery, ensuring it operates at optimal efficiency.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Adhere to safety regulations and best practices when handling chemicals and operating machinery.

Complete daily reports and maintain accurate records of cleaning operations.

Assist with routine maintenance and general facility upkeep.

 

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a chemical cleaning or industrial cleaning environment is preferred but not essential.

Understanding of health and safety practices, especially in relation to the handling of chemicals.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.

Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items when required.

A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
