Free Training Courses Available With Skills Bootcamps Funded By The Government

Skills Bootcamps are a Government initiative funded by the Department of Education to provide free, flexible courses with a duration of up to 16 weeks. Having completed the course, you’re guaranteed an interview with an employer. (If finding a job is the goal of completing the Skills Bootcamp).

Skills Bootcamps are available to eligible adults in England. Skills Bootcamps are available in the following sectors:

  • Business and Admin Skills Bootcamps
  • Digital Skills Bootcamps
  • Digital Marketing Bootcamps
  • Engineering Skills Bootcamps
  • Green Energy Skills Bootcamps
  • Health and Social Care Skills Bootcamps
  • HGV Skills Bootcamps
  • Rail Skills Bootcamps

Am I eligible for free Skills Bootcamps?

You may be eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp if you:

  • are aged 19 or over
  • have the right to work in the UK
  • live in England
  • meet residency requirements – the training provider can check this


If you claim Universal Credit, you can apply and continue to claim benefits.

Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria. Enquire about a Skills Bootcamp with a training provider and they’ll check if you’re eligible to complete for the course for.If you need additional employability support to help choose the best Skills Bootcamp for you, contact the National Careers Service for free and impartial advice.

Employers can use the list of Skills Bootcamps training providers to find local colleges and providers to work with.
