Free Maths courses are government funded maths courses for adults who didn’t pass GCSE Maths or don’t have evidence of a GCSE Maths pass grade.
A GCSE Maths pass grade is required to apply for most jobs or to enter further education. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, it’s likely you’re be entitled to free maths courses up to Functional Skills Maths Level 2.
What free maths qualifications and courses can I choose from?
Functional Skills Maths has qualifications at five levels, three entry level qualifications, level 1 and level 2. Before starting a maths course, you’ll have an initial assessment and diagnostic test. This will help you find out which maths test level to start with.
